Position Overview
The Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC) at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) is a consortium that connects clinical and translational research initiatives across several independent institutions. The aim of this NIH-funded CTSC is to revolutionize the execution of clinical and translational research, enabling the School of Medicine and its partners to offer integrated research capabilities and educational opportunities amidst the complexities of multiple institutional collaborations.
Role Summary
As a key player in advancing clinical and translational research, the Clinical Research Recruitment Coordinator will operate with a significant degree of autonomy. This position is essential for fostering collaboration with CTSC leadership and scientific program heads to engage diverse participant demographics in clinical research studies, thereby generating findings that are relevant to a wider population.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Execution
Design and implement recruitment strategies and research experiments as directed by the principal investigator, while also having the autonomy to develop independent experiments in conjunction with CTSC leadership. Coordinate recruitment efforts and experiments conducted by team members, ensuring resource adequacy and assisting with experimental design and analysis.
2. Operational Management
Conduct thorough research, analysis, and documentation to guide the execution of recruitment and operational activities, ensuring culturally sensitive and compliant recruitment and retention of subjects for clinical research projects.
3. Collaboration and Community Engagement
Work alongside research teams from CTSC partner institutions and local/national community organizations to formulate recruitment plans for clinical trials and develop innovative retention strategies to enhance participant involvement in research.
4. Data Management and Reporting
Maintain precise records of participant data and provide analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership based on comprehensive analysis.
5. Progress Monitoring
Collaborate closely with various leadership roles to support the implementation of community engagement, marketing, and recruitment strategies tailored to specific research protocols. Regularly oversee project progress and provide updates to CTSC leadership, ensuring that recruitment strategies are continually assessed and refined based on participant feedback.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that research processes are developed effectively, ultimately contributing to the success of clinical trials and enhancing the overall impact of the CTSC's research initiatives.
