Reporting to the HR Manager - US, this position provides key Human Resources support to the Bloomington, Indiana facility. This position will include support for Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Benefits, and HRIS. This role provides a great foundation for continued career growth.

This is a non-exempt, on-site position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily tasks that support the plant, including updating HRIS systems, password resets, employment verification, responding to employee questions, preparation of communications, report generation, etc.
  • Assist with recruiting, including preparing job postings, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters and onboarding new employees.
  • Works with HR team to launch new policies and procedures, plan events and annual trainings.
  • Presence on the production floor to communicate, attend meetings, and measure engagement level.
  • Address employee concerns promptly, escalating to HR Manager as necessary.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Manage employee files, updating as necessary.
  • Track and manager employee attendance, PTO, FMLA and other leaves.
  • Assist with timekeeping and payroll process.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Competencies

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, data entry, and record-keeping
  • Enthusiasm for working within a team environment
  • Tact and professionalism when handling confidential information and addressing employee concerns
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft office suite and email
Education:
  • Associates degree or higher in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
Experience and/or Training:
  • Minimum 2 years in HR-related position
  • Administrative experience in mid-sized company (200-500 employees)
