Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do:
    • V2X specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations.
      • We have an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager. This position will provide support in performing project task definition and workload planning, acquisition management, funds management, and financial cost accounting.
  • Key responsibilities:
    • Act as overall lead, manager, and administrator for project.
    • Support budgeting, project, and program planning, and maintain program information in business enterprise tools which may include but are not limited to: SAP/Navy ERP; Work in Progress Database; Program Management Tools; Command Staffing work-year database; and Workload Assignment Agreements.
    • Serve as the primary interface and Point of Contact with government program team on program/project actions.
    • Oversee contractor execution of contractor requirements.
    • Manage acquisition and employment of program and project resources.
    • Support project leads in the performance of program tasks, respond to administrative and programmatic data calls, and provide administrative planning related to program events and the day-to-day operations of assigned projects.
    • Provide life-cycle acquisition management.
    • Potential travel may be required to support customer requirements as needed.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:
  • BS/BA degree in arts or science. Business, economics, or management background preferred. Defense Acquisition University Level 2 or equivalent.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance
  • 2+ years of DoD acquisition experience with at least one year being focused in program management; four years of experience preferred.
  • Technical understanding of and experience working with Navy systems.
  • Implementing policy and coordinating Navy procedures.
  • Developing project budgets.
  • Government contract and procurement policies to meet life-cycle support requirements.
  • Microsoft office application
  • Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of team function within the organization; broad knowledge of the field with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Works within established guidelines, processes, and procedures. May recommend improvements to achieve team goals. Objectives for work defined by customer and team.
Desired:
  • Navy ERP highly desired.
