What to know about this role

  • This is a twelve (12) week, part-time (up to but not exceeding 24 hours per week) internship from Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 to Friday, November 22nd, 2024.
  • The hourly rate for this position is: $18.00 per hour

The impact of this role

Social media has been going through a reimagination at AMA and we are looking for someone to help inform and guide the future direction of our social media strategy for collegiate students. We also want someone excited to support AMAs Marketing/And podcast as we grow AMA's social media presence. In this role, you will create content, inform strategy, and help manage the social media accounts for AMA, addressing an audience of more than 600,000 people. When you leave, you should feel confident in your abilities as a social media marketer and have the work to prove it.

What youll be doing

  • Assist in managing submissions for user-generated content for collegiate accounts
  • Support early stage planning for the International Collegiate Conference (ICC) social media strategy
  • Support social media strategy for the Marketing/And podcast
  • Ideate and pitch an annual social media content calendar for AMA Collegiate
  • Explore audience growth opportunities found and created via social media

What you bring to the table

  • You are a current college student pursuing a Marketing, Business, or other related Communications degree or have a background in/exposure to the Marketing industry
  • You have strong written communication skills
  • You actively use at least two social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn preferred)
  • Experience with graphic design software (we use Canva)
  • You have a general understanding of how creating for a brand works

  • Experience as an AMA Collegiate member

  • 30-minute phone interview with a member of AMAs People and Culture team
  • Virtual Interview with the hiring manager and the roles mentor that youll be working closely with.
