Associate Engineers assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in the management of multiple site development projects, leading design on each phase of the project (Grading, Utility Layout, Construction Documents, and Construction Services). This position will provide AutoCAD support, design calculations, and assist with code search/analysis, project schedules, and the review of budgets.

Associate Engineer Responsibilities:

Lead design on each phase of the project (typical: Preliminary Grading, Preliminary Utility Layout, Final Grading, Final Utility Plan and Profiles, Construction Documents, and Construction Phase services) to deliver a set of contract documents that will be used for permits and construction. Provide AutoCAD support for the preparation of project documents. Provide design calculations for drainage, utility, stormwater management, etc. reports and analysis. Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer with construction services (site visits, review shop drawings, etc.). Perform project code searches and analysis for each project. Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in the preparation of project schedules and review of budgets. Help with submittals for jurisdiction agencies. Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, and Ware Malcomb team members.

Associate Engineer Qualifications:

2+ years of experience within the civil engineering field of land/site development. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. EIT (Engineer in Training) strongly preferred. Knowledge of grading, drainage, and servicing plans. Strong coordination and communication skills. Experience in the use of AutoCAD and Civil3D.
