The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong accounting and finance skills, and an eagerness to find solutions and uncover opportunity. While industry experience is a plus, it is not a requirement for this role. Familiarity with companies of similar size and scope will help shorten the learning curve, allowing you to focus on the most impactful aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Management: Oversee cash receipts and disbursements in accordance with operating agreements.
  • Financial Analysis: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, including general ledger accounts, documenting partnership transactions.
  • Forecasting: Update current and long-term cash flow forecasts for family partnerships.
  • Tax Planning: Update estimates of taxable income quarterly for each member and respond to IRS or state correspondence on tax issues.
  • Reporting: Analyze financial information, prepare budgets, variance analysis, and other reports to interpret current and projected financial positions for partners and management.
  • Valuations: Update quarterly valuations of investments by member and monitor loan covenants.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to continually update cash flow and forecasted cash balances.
  • Compliance: Compile information and prepare annual work papers for outside CPA review and tax return preparation.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform additional schedules and analysis as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting and/or related experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups and other advanced functions.
  • Prior experience in real estate and/or tax is preferred.
  • Excellent reasoning, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain absolute discretion.
