EFIN Engineer, Electrical - Plant Vogtle Units 3&4 (Waynesboro, GA) Southern Nuclear Operating Company's Plant Vogtle 3&4 Site Engineering organization is seeking a high performing Electrical Engineer with an analytical mindset and strong technical and leadership skills to support operation of the next generation nuclear power station. This position will be located at Southern Nuclear Company's Plant Vogtle in Waynesboro, Georgia. Job Summary This position is assigned to the Site Design Engineering organization in the EFIN (Engineering Fix-It-Now) group and is part of the Engineering organization at the Vogtle 3&4 site. This position will provide electrical engineering support for troubleshooting and design changes primarily for the station’s electrical equipment. Southern Nuclear, a subsidiary of Southern Company, manages and operates eight nuclear power electric generating plants that provide approximately 20 percent of the electricity used in Alabama and Georgia. Southern Nuclear is leading the nuclear renaissance by operating the first new U.S. nuclear reactors in more than 25 years. The two newly-commissioned Westinghouse AP1000 reactors currently operating at Plant Vogtle make the facility the largest in the U.S. with four reactors on one site.
