The Project Accounting Manager will be part of the Project Finance team led by the VP/Project Finance Director. This position will initially be placed on the largest non-JV project in the BBII portfolio. Upon project completion the position will have the opportunity to take a regional role in our West Coast business. Responsibilities

The Project Accounting Manager will have responsibilities for the financial administration of the project, including the following areas: Maintaining the financial records of the project in accordance with BBII Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure accurate recording of cost in accounting system through reconciliations between contracts, procurement, engineering, project controls and invoicing source data. Work with Project Finance Director and Operational leads to measure actual spend and productivity vs forecast. Support project accounting team in weekly administration of craft payroll. Support collection of certified payroll records for both company employees and applicable vendors as dictated by prime contract requirements. Summarize and report project cashflow metrics. Lead accounting team management of project account payables and receivables. Work with commercial team in development and management of project payment applications and lead collection, substantiation, and distribution of subcontractor and vendor invoicing. Assist with permitting, sales tax, and licensing for Cities in which projects are located and/or operated. Assist in maintenance and administration of DBE requirements as dictated by prime contract requirements. Support development of quarterly financial reporting processes including data analytics, JMS data entry, and summarization and presentation of key project metrics. General support of project accounting, finance, and operational functions. Support identification and resolution of various legacy project accounting inconsistencies and required corrections. Education, Experience, and Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. 5‐10 years of accounting or finance experience at management level. Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred, with heavy civils and/or rail experience optimal. Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS. Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting methods. Strong analytical skills demonstrating the ability to identify unique or unusual trends and drive issues through to resolution. Works well in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Self-motivating, high energy, confident personality that can interact with all levels including senior management. Strong PC skills and software proficiency including robust MS Excel-based analytical and data management skill set. Some travel will be required.
