This position will support the Technical Accounting & Valuations team with acquisition accounting, corporate IFRS audit, training and development, accounting research, technical accounting queries and more. This position reports to the Manager of Technical Accounting & Valuations and will be based in our Charlotte, NC corporate office. Gain hands-on experience and familiarity with acquisition accounting, IFRS accounting, public company audit processes, and ad hoc projects Job Responsibilities:Assist in purchase accounting for acquired and divested entitiesCollect, document and track prepared by client (PBC) records for the annual IFRS auditResearch accounting standards to answer technical accounting queriesCalculate fair value of acquired intangible assetsAssist in monthly accounting close process, which includes accounting entries and reconciliations for acquisitions related accountsParticipate in planning and coordinating CPE coursesMaintain the Technical Accounting Database Job Qualifications:Rising Junior or above majoring in AccountingAbility to work independently and possess strong problem solving skillsDetail oriented with strong analytical skills Proficiency in Excel a must Benefits:CompensationAcquire hands-on experience while working with an innovative, energetic and collaborative teamApply knowledge learned in the classroomGain invaluable corporate work experienceBroaden career experience via job shadowing key team membersGet a foot in the door for future opportunities and build valuable networking contactsWork for a global organization's North American headquarters, based in Charlotte, North CarolinaThis position is paid, but not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.
