Senior Financial Accountant

NorthPoint Search Group Inc is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Financial Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and evaluate financial data to prepare and/or review essential journal entries ensuring accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.
  • Examine financial reports to identify trends, forecasts, and notable changes to summarize and interpret the current and future financial status of the organization.
  • Effectively communicate findings through written reports and oral presentations to senior management.
  • Oversee fixed asset management and ensure accurate depreciation records.
  • Assist the accounting and finance leadership team with various ad hoc projects.
  • Provide support during year-end audits.
  • Participate in inventory physical counts.
  • Contribute to the documentation and enhancement of internal control systems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required; a Master's Degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a large firm or 4+ years of industry experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP systems (such as SAP, JD Edwards, etc.) is essential.
  • CPA certification or currently pursuing the exam is mandatory.
