Tesla's Infotainment team delivers an innovative in-vehicle user experience to our customers. We develop and validate the firmware for all features and changes to the User Interface and underlying System Software. Providing the highest quality user experience requires hands on testing of our products as well as troubleshooting both common use and edge case issues the customer may experience.

Responsibilities

  • Test prototype firmware across varying existing and new vehicle platforms
  • Troubleshoot Infotainment related firmware issues and develop reproduction steps
  • Precisely document test cases improvements and troubleshooting steps in detail
  • Execute commands/scripts in Linux terminal to diagnose and gather additional data
Requirements
  • Strong QA and testing philosophy
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Familiar with issue tracking software (i.e., JIRA)
  • Detail oriented, able to follow step-by-step instructions precisely
  • Proficiency in deconstructing and analyzing firmware capabilities from a customer's perspective to identify potential vulnerabilities
  • Aspiration to develop software skills with the potential of transitioning into a software-focused role at Tesla

      $24.40 - $65.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
