Software Engineering Professional

**Job Description:**
Stanford University is seeking a talented Software Developer to join its Bioengineering department. As a key member of the team, you will design and maintain data processing pipelines for large theoretical and experimental neuroscience projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of software engineering principles and proficiency in at least one programming language. You will work closely with faculty and students to develop software tools for processing disparate data types and performing large-scale statistical analysis.
This is a full-time position eligible for a remote work arrangement with occasional visits to the Stanford campus, subject to operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess user needs and requirements.
- Design and develop applications that involve sophisticated data manipulation.
- Maintain and update existing programs.
- Troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Create programs to meet reporting and analysis needs.
- Design and implement user and operations training programs.
- Document changes in software for end users.
- Serve as a technical resource with respect to applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $86,180 to $129,259 per annum for remote positions and $107,423 to $133,600 per annum for positions in Stanford Work Locations. Our comprehensive rewards package includes tuition reimbursement, audit a course, excellent health care benefits, and more.
