About the role
During your internship as a Robotics Technician, you will be immersed in developing and integrating next-gen vehicles. By interacting daily with engineers, you will be involved in the daily activities of our R&D lab, such as CNC machining, welding, 3D printing, and harness manufacturing.
The ideal candidates should demonstrate a clear passion for robotics and autonomy while being detail-oriented, and self-motivated with great work ethics in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school Degree or equivalent certificate
- Experience as a mechanic and performing electrician work
- Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics generated from CAD tools like Altium, Cadence, Kicad, or similar software.
- Hands-on experience in wire stripping, connector crimping, splicing, and harness dressing
- Good familiarity with computer programs (emails, documents)
- Pursuing an undergrad degree or community college degree or equivalent training in at least one of the following disciplines: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or computer science
While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to applicants who are available to start immediately.
$18 - $25 an hour
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The majority of the work will be performed indoors in a hybrid space (office space + electronics/garage lab space). Performance of the position requires working safely and may occasionally require climbing up to elevated surfaces, working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, noise levels, and on a range of outdoor work surfaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus in addition, the position may require frequent movement and activity relating to using keyboards, viewing data on computer displays, and communicating verbally and in writing. You may be required to occasionally stand for extended periods, operate tools and controls, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
