The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the organization and execution of both internal and external events in coordination with the rest of the Engagement team. The ability to plan, delegate, and execute events are key. This role also ensures that proper documentation is maintained throughout the events team and fulfills training responsibilities within the team on the event planning structure. The Engagement Coordinator will also work on maintaining the Uzone system, communicate directly with vendors, and research creative event ideas that promote our sixth pillar, Fun and Friendship in the workplace.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Creating, developing, organizing, and managing unique Engagement Events
  • Communicating with team members regarding events in which the Engagement Team is giving assistance
  • Answering questions and addressing issues from leaders/team members related to Engagement Team events
  • Ordering items needed for event staging and execution while managing good relationships with vendors
  • Maintaining organization of events folders, and playbooks to ensure proper documentation of events
  • Managing a positive relationship between vendors and UWM
  • Working as event organizer for reoccurring Monthly events
  • Completing assigned elements regarding urgent and upcoming events
  • Creating and managing tasks needed for events to progress
  • Creating, developing, and posting unique and engaging content for events and post to our internal platform called UZONE
  • Reviewing and implementing team member feedback beneficial to the creation and planning of future events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • 1-3 Years of Related Event Planning Experience
  • Attention to Detail and create and manage timelines for all events
  • Confident with MS Office. Advanced level Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable to change and able to on and event in any given moment
  • Ability to leave every team member with a good feeling about you when you interact with them
  • A strong communication skillset in order to execute at a very fast pace
  • A extreme sense of urgency
  • Ability to help other team members with various projects and staying on task
  • Ensure continuous improvement for all team members
  • Make sure all work and task completion is done in an effective time management fashion
  • Make sure all work is quality, credible, and accurate
  • Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
  • Knowledge regarding applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • ?Ability to implement workflows and build relationships with different team
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of IT/Website experience
  • Experience in graphic design using Adobe suite products (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
  • Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience with custom software solutions and administrative tools
  • Ability to independently learn new system quickly
  • Aptitude with data using spreadsheets
  • Worked with any software development
  • Experience taking something huge and ridiculous and making it real, preferably in an organization with 8000+ team members
