Day Center Director

PACE Southeast Michigan seeks a highly skilled and experienced Day Center Manager to oversee the daily operations of our PACE Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage personnel and activities within the PACE Center, ensuring seamless delivery of care services to our participants.
- Supervise staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, counseling, and discipline, to maintain a high-performing team.
- Coordinate services to the frail elderly, including emergency arrangements, transportation schedules, and other systems to ensure quality care.
- Lead and coordinate the PACE Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Collaborate with the Center Director and Quality Department to ensure compliance with state regulations and staffing ratios.
- Proactively engage with PACE Administration to further program development and participate in the planning, development, and implementation of program goals and objectives.
- Maintain departmental policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards.
- Oversee the quality of care and safety of PACE participants, both at the PACE Center and in the community.
- Directly supervise Participant Care Associates and other center support staff as assigned.
- Serve as a liaison between disciplines, administration, and direct staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Investigate, monitor, and track all PACE participant grievances and incidents, ensuring prompt resolution to their issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; minimum of two years supervisory experience and one year experience with a frail or elderly population.
- Strong leadership and group leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent organizational and supervisory skills, with the ability to handle difficult and unusual interpersonal situations.
- Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PACE Semi and approved by CMS.
