Job Description

As an Automation Engineer, you will engage in both engineering and non-engineering responsibilities within our Nuclear Equipment and Services business. Your engineering tasks will include creating schematics with CAD, generating Bills of Material, creating new assemblies/part drawings, programming PLCs & HMIs, performing field startup & test, working with 480VAC, tuning and commissioning motors using VFDs, creating loading calculations, sizing wiring, and laying out conduit and wire routing schedules. Additionally, you will be expected to travel to customer sites. Your non-engineering responsibilities will involve collaborating with project managers to meet project deadlines, coordinating with purchasing to spec parts, and guiding manufacturing teams in wiring assemblies. This role reports to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor and consists of approximately 80% office work and 20% field work.

Physical fitness to climb over 50+ feet of vertical ladders is essential.
