What You Will Do:
  • Work closely with operations to analyze, set standards for, and improve business and manufacturing processes; study process and product requirements through observation, time studies, etc. to define and assist in deploying solutions.
  • Conduct capacity analysis to determine capital equipment and labor staffing requirements to meet customer demand; calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints; conduct machine analysis to identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness (OEE) Overall Equipment Effectiveness
  • Conduct labor analysis to identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness (OLE) Overall Labor Effectiveness
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects; assist with production scheduling, including incorporating product design changes; design/redesign layouts of equipment and workspace to improve process flow; participate in and leading Kaizen events
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical degree and two or more years' engineering experience in a manufacturing, program/project management, quality or closely related industrial environment or a Master's degree and 1 or more years' engineering experience in a manufacturing, program/project management, quality or closely related industrial environment
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering; MBA
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience in various computer software and administrative abilities
  • Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, other methods

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
