Key Responsibilities:

  • Columbus Forge, a distinguished leader in the production of airfoils and disks for the aerospace propulsion sector, seeks committed individuals to enhance our operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to implement innovative ideas, this could be the role for you.
  • Execute a broad range of complex tasks within a manufacturing setting, including the setup and operation of various machines and processes, providing essential support in maintenance/tool services, and actively participating in team management.
  • This position operates on a Fri-Sun schedule from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm (36 hours paid for 40).
  • Set up, operate, or manage presses and forging machines to shape or form metal.
  • Measure and inspect machined components to ensure they meet product specifications.
  • Interpret work orders or blueprints to determine specified tolerances and operational sequences for machine setup.
  • Position and maneuver workpieces through a series of dies that compress and shape stock to create die impressions.
  • Initiate machines to produce sample workpieces and monitor operations to identify machine malfunctions and verify that setups meet specifications.
  • Remove dies from machines upon completion of production runs.
  • Adjust handles or knobs to set pressures and depths of ram strokes and synchronize machine operations.
  • Select, align, and secure positioning fixtures, stops, and specified dies to rams and anvils, forging rolls, or presses and hammers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues regarding machine setups and operational specifications.
  • Trim and compress finished forgings to meet specified tolerances.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • A minimum of one year of experience in manufacturing.

Onsite: Employees in Onsite roles will primarily work onsite, including all production and maintenance personnel, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

This role is based in the U.S. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
