Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our Columbus Forge team, you will engage in the production of airfoils and disks for the aerospace propulsion sector. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to implement innovative ideas. Execute a variety of complex tasks within the manufacturing sector, including the setup and operation of multiple machines and processes, providing meaningful support in maintenance and tooling, and actively participating in team management. Work schedule: Friday to Sunday, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM (36 hours paid for 40). Operate and manage presses and forging machines to shape and form metal components. Inspect and measure machined parts to ensure they meet product specifications. Interpret work orders or blueprints to determine tolerances and operational sequences for machine setup. Position and maneuver workpieces through a series of dies to create specified shapes. Initiate machines to produce sample workpieces, monitoring operations for any malfunctions and ensuring compliance with specifications. Remove dies from machines upon completion of production runs. Adjust machine settings to regulate pressures and stroke depths, ensuring synchronized operations. Select and secure positioning fixtures, stops, and dies to rams and anvils, as well as forging rolls or presses. Collaborate with colleagues regarding machine setups and operational specifications. Trim and refine finished forgings to meet specified tolerances.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as access to certain information is restricted to U.S. citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
