Job Summary:The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for performing technical calculations required to prepare mechanical deliverables including:Developing project scope including P&ID development and equipment selectionCollection and presentation of key data/informationDetailed engineering calculationsTechnical specifications & datasheetsConducting vendor drawing and calculation reviewsTechnical evaluation of bidsAssistance in field work, construction support, and problem-solving activities.The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for assuring quality and timely completion of engineering designs and reports. The Senior Mechanical Engineer should be comfortable in interfacing with the clients, visiting clients' facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders.The Senior Mechanical Engineer reports to the Mechanical Discipline Manager.Responsibilities:Assuring quality and timely completion of engineering designs and reports.Comfortable in interfacing with the clients, visiting clients' facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering requiredEIT Certification desiredAdvanced degree, and/or P.E. certification a plusActive participation in professional organizations a plus10+ years' experience with boilers, pumps, exchangers and pressure vesselsPipe stress analysis experienceProject lead experience developing engineering schedules, budgets and forecastsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in teams and to present a positive image to clientsWorking knowledge of or familiarity with:Microsoft Office products including MS ProjectAutoCAD and 3-D CAD a plusMechanical Engineering design tools and calculations (software: PV Elite, Compress, Navisworks, Caesar II, NozzlePro) Working knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, PIPPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday.
