Job Description

IntelliSource is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join our partner's team. We are seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical design and proficiency in SolidWorks. The successful candidate will contribute to both mechanical design and research and development projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative solutions that address sustainability and environmental challenges. We are currently seeking candidates in Midland or surrounding areas, no relocation assistance available.

Mechanical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.
  • Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
  • Conduct research and development tasks, including designing solutions for novel issues encountered in our machines.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve existing products and develop new ones.
  • Perform simulations and analysis to validate design concepts and optimize performance.
  • Assist in prototyping, testing, and refining designs based on test results and feedback.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and user manuals.
  • Support the manufacturing process by providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues.

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drawing creation.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
  • Basic knowledge of simulation and analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.

Mechanical Engineer Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship or co-op experience in a mechanical engineering role.
  • Experience with research and development projects.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design.
