We are seeking a team-oriented Human Resources Specialist to be responsible for multiple aspects of HR including but not limited to recruiting, employee relations, on/off-boarding, policy implementation, payroll, benefits in addition to facilities.

This role is part of the overall Corporate Human Resources team and contributes to overall office management by ensuring that necessary, safe workplace resources are in place including facilities management and adequate support for top business leaders. This role is key in promoting company values and a great work environment, assessing, and supporting business needs. This position is based in our Las Vegas office and will service Las Vegas, California, and other remote staff offices.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for both exempt and non-exempt roles including contract staffing; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Develop, implement, and cultivate positive employee experiences through the organization of events, communications, and recognition programs.
  • Responsible for the management of Facilities. Being the point of contact for building management.
  • Initial point of contact for employee issues and formulate approaches for corrective action and improvement; coach employees and leaders, craft warnings, process separations, conduct exit interviews and support the performance appraisal process.
  • Attends employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Manage administrative HR duties such as handling employee inquiries, developing job documentation, onboarding new employees, and assisting with employee surveys.
  • Assist those responsible for enterprise-wide program administration (benefits, compensation, etc.) by providing local program expertise and execution; addressing questions, resolving concerns, educating employees, etc.
  • Conduct and help develop employee training and employee development opportunities.
  • Participate in the maintenance and updating of HR information system records, compile reports and contribute to accurate, consistent retention of all employee records and files while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
  • Assist in office management activities as needed including but not limited backup to receptionist in matters of preventive maintenance, purchasing, and mail management.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Any other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience of at least 5 years of human resources generalist experience.
  • Prior experience supporting teams in the Financial Services industry is required.
  • Working experience in on/off-boarding, performance management, HR/Payroll information systems, managing HR projects.
  • Requires proficiency in compensation and benefits, employee relations including but not limited to complaint resolution and investigations.
  • Experience with MS Office. ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication along with time management and organization skills and the ability to maintain the upmost confidentiality. Sound judgment when knowing what and when to communicate with leaders and employees about different topics.
  • Dependable, professional, resourceful approach with a strong work ethic is a must.
  • Strong collaboration and internal customer service orientation; ability to manage strong personalities.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions while leading and coaching others as circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment and labor law.
