Position Overview We currently have a position open in the Southern California Market for a Regional Sales Director (RSD). The RSD increases new business sales through establishing strong, consultative partnerships with major worksite and voluntary benefit distributors including brokers, agents, financial planners, and consultants. The territory for this role includes San Diego and South Orange County. Key Responsibilities Achieve annual new business sales, net growth, and reenrollment objectives. Demonstrate the value proposition to distribution partners. Direct and manage the acquisition process by establishing priorities with the sales support team. Proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with Sales Implementation, Key Account Managers, and Marketing. Generate new business opportunities through market analysis and cold calling. Partner with marketing and product development to create demand in the marketplace. Monitor and report on competition to evaluate Trustmark’s position. Utilize Salesforce.com for activity reporting and metrics. Provide monthly reports of pipeline, forecasts, and metrics. Other duties as needed/assigned. Minimum Qualifications 5 years of Voluntary product sales or equivalent work experience. Experience generating and analyzing reports to enhance sales or customer experience. Excellent oral & written communication skills. Ability to work independently and handle conflict with minimal oversight. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Interpersonal effectiveness with proven ability to establish and maintain respectful relationships. Proficient in the complete MS Office Suite.
