Now Hiring - Human Resource Generalist

Location: Fort Myers, FL - On-site (3660 Broadway)

Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician-driven diagnostic imaging providers, with 13 imaging centers, in Southwest Florida. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Generalist is an employee advocate who models our values of integrity, Ingenuity, and Inclusivity. This position reports to the HR Business Partner and has no direct reports. The HR Generalist is actively engaged with employees and leadership in all areas of the organization. The HR Generalist is responsible for the human resources needs and implementation of best practices to support achievement of the company's objectives.

Job Summary:

  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures as needed.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Assist in developing and executing HR related policies and procedures and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Presents numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gathers and analyze information such as turnover data.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist in administering benefits and employee performance programs.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Handle administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, terminations, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the communication and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee data.
  • Maintains accurate tracking logs not currently captured in HRMS for HR and Payroll
  • Manages unemployment claims process and submits documentation to the state timely.
  • Assist management on disciplinary counseling and performance improvement plans.
  • Works closely with the Talent Acquisition team to share staffing strategies based on employee feedback and patterns of behavior.
  • Periodically visits all centers to provide HR support as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Monthly Checkr invoice reconciliation.
  • Run companywide exclusions monthly .
  • Report new hires to the Department of Revenue monthly.
  • Maintain driver records, run semiannual verifications of driver's licenses, send updated reports to Marsh as needed.
  • Order radiation badges for new hires, deactivate radiation badges for terminated employees, and assign spare badges as needed for new hires.
Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
Experience:
  • Required: 1-3 years of experience providing support in a fast-paced environment
  • Required: 1-2 years of experience in HR
  • Paylocity experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Outlook or similar calendar management software, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of an application tracking system preferred
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a changing environment
  • Effective and clear written and verbal communication
  • Team player that is adept at working with multiple people at any given time with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the
