Patient Relations Manager

Objective:
Oversee all Patient Relations Management (PRM) activities in Belgium & Luxemburg, building strategic relationships with patient associations, advocating for patients' needs, driving patient-centric outreach programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop strategic relationships with patient associations to understand needs and concerns
Advocate for patients and support advocacy programs that impact decision makers
Act as an ambassador for the company, increasing awareness and reputation
Drive the development of proactive, patient-centric outreach programs
Partner with patient associations to provide information and support services
Ensure compliance with relevant processes and regulations
Provide input on patient-driven strategies to brand teams
Represent the voice of the patient in cross-functional teams
Attend external meetings to represent the company's commitment to patient centricity (trade association, patient organization events)
Key Interfaces:
Internal: External Affairs team, Brand Team Leaders, Market Access, Regulatory, Medical, Legal departments
External: Patient Associations, Patient Advocacy Groups, Relevant new Patient Platforms, NGO's, Caregivers, Local opinion leaders
Qualifications
Ability to build strong relationships with patient associations
Drive multi-stakeholder advocacy programs
Collect and share insights to support policy development
Advise patient associations on advocacy needs
Manage PRM budgets
Work with external affairs and brand teams to execute strategic direction
Knowledge of local and international patient environment, legislation, and healthcare landscape
Strong communication, networking, and strategic thinking skills
Ability to translate patient needs into policy recommendations
Fluency in Dutch, French, and English
Passion for patients and their stories
Team player with a proactive and innovative mindset
Understanding of compliant process management
Education, Background & Experience :
Scientific background preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in Healthcare, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, or Patient Relations Management
Understanding of healthcare system in Belgium & Luxemburg
Experience in delivering patient-centric initiatives or advocacy programs
Ability to build extensive contact network and impactful partnerships
Track record in team building and executing multi-stakeholder initiatives
