We are looking for a Director to lead our Emerging Brands portfolio. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape and build how KDP expands its portfolio to participate in additional and/or emerging categories to achieve our vision of a beverage for every need. This is a newly created role and reports to the SVP Brand Marketing and General Manager.

What You’ll Do:

As a Director overseeing emerging brands, you will have a hands-on entrepreneurial approach. You will have the ability to wear many different hats, flex from strategic to tactical, and operate resourcefully within an undefined environment. You will put the consumer at the heart of everything you do, and lead with a General Management mindset.

In this role, you will:

Shape how KDP participates in portfolio expansion opportunities from strategic assessment to tactical implementation and in market tracking/diagnostics. Establish the growth objectives and success criteria by leveraging consumer insights, category and consumer trends, and your deep understanding of the competitive space and the retail environment. Lead cross functional teams and external agencies from the front to launch strategies that meet business objectives and incubate brands from inception to scale remaining mindful of commercial viability. Collaborate with KDP strategy, consumer insights, supply chain, and commercial teams to scope and create the business case for prioritizing emerging segments and new brand concepts. Help establish how the emerging organization takes shape, operating as a hands-on leader who can flex upstream and downstream while scaling as the business creates value and resourcing needs evolve.

Requirements

We are looking for a leader who has the drive and passion to make a big impact. Someone who thrives working with diverse teams to tackle difficult challenges, who remains mindful of the big things while doing the tactical, and one who has a true passion for building businesses.

Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA is preferred. 8-10 years of progressive brand management or related consulting experience. CPG experience preferred. Alcoholic beverage experience a plus. A general manager mindset where you exhibit data influenced decision making and measurement. P&L management experience preferred. Exceptional team leader with a commanding presence and an ability to influence across functions, leadership levels and customer teams. Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, reacting with sound judgement and often without defined direction. Expertise in developing and implementing brand strategies based on consumer insights, market data, category trends, customer analysis, and the competitive environment. Proficient at flexing between strategic planning and tactical planning. This role is based at the KDP headquarters in Frisco, Texas. Relocation to Greater Dallas, TX area is required with 10%-15% travel.
