The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking Business Development Manager to join our Lab Specialty Products Business Unit. You will drive and lead global business results for newly launched products in the chromatography and lab chemicals portfolio. This role will be a full-time, remote position.

What were looking for??

  • Education: Bachelors degree required

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience including:

  • Biopharma, pharmaceutical or chemical industry

  • Sales

  • Product management

  • A robust combination of scientific understanding and business acumen

  • Ability to lead high-visibility business development projects and to clearly communicate to senior leadership

  • Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills

  • Ability to travel up to 30% (internationally)

How you will thrive and create an impact??

  • Prospect and drive business development activities to meet revenue achievement targets for newly launched products

  • Proactive development of NPD product growth strategies inclusive of channel partner support and training

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date relevant technical, market, and regulatory knowledge while providing technical and commercial expertise for new product promotions and initiatives

  • Partner with sales to onboard new customers and provide VOC to internal teams

  • Partner with product management and strategic marketing to execute GTM plans for new products

  • Build strong working relationships with external customers and KOLs as well as internal cross functional teams

  • Demonstrate a high level of strategic thinking and curiosity to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the commercialization process

  • Leads benchmark of competitive market landscape to understand Avantors market position by product line, workflow, and market segment.

  • Drives and communicates across the organization deep market understanding, keeping a pulse on industry trends and changes in technologies, competitive landscape, and key market changes, driving actionable insights on opportunities and gaps.

  • Evaluate in-depth market analysis and leads business case for optimization of existing products/solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new products.

  • Engage potential partnerships that will accelerate the adoption of new products and deliver strong returns.
