The Chargeback Dispute Specialist's primary role is to provide detailed responses to chargebacks received and to scrutinize, interpret, and make critical decisions related to risk assessment. The specialist uses analytical capability through thorough investigation, data analysis, and research to address internal and external inquiries and make recommendations to mitigate risks to protect the financial interests of Realtor.com. How we work: We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together. To be considered for this role, you must reside within 50 miles of Scottsdale, AZ . What you'll do: Retrieve, review, investigate and complete the established process requirements to manage and prepare responses to incoming chargeback disputes from merchant sites. Research, and draft detailed responses with all relevant supporting backup for open chargebacks and upload responses to the bank by the due date, to resolve disputes according to the bank and card industry regulations and practices. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on chargeback and credit check matters. Analyze the financial status and financial history of companies or individuals to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit to existing or potential customers within established processes and guidelines. Follow company policy to make recommendations of credit worthiness by running credit checks to make decisions whether to increase, adjust, extend, or deny lines of credit. Maintain current and propose new chargeback processes and procedures. Special projects as assigned. Collaborative spirit. What you'll bring: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of experience in handling dispute resolutions throughout the lifecycle. Excellent organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail. Critical thinker with an ability to independently make decisions and exercise authority within established guidelines and limits. Ability to make limited decisions outside of stated processes and recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. High level of respect and integrity. Proficiency with computer software (Google Docs, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chrome, Google Sheets, etc.). Experience with CRM platforms. Salesforce experience preferred.
