EPP is seeking a Staff Accountant for our support center located in Brentwood, TN.The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a companys reports and statements. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform professional level accounting duties according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Prepare month end journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with all accounting functions. Accounts payable review and entry, expense account review and posting entries. Prepare work papers for the annual audit. Process monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with financial statement review. Assist Controller with month-end closing process. Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting systems for financial transactions. Positive contributor to the team by supporting and executing ad-hoc projects as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: Advanced knowledge of standard accounting operating procedures and principles. Cash management, expenditures, and disbursement process. Manual and automated accounting systems. NetSuite experience preferred, but not required. Ability to: Independently assume responsibility for the overall needs of the Accounting Department. Manage computer operations and applications. Be able to generate and suggest ideas for the improvement of processes. Communicate effectively with internal team as well as practice doctors and staff. Training and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA designation preferred, but not required. Excellent computer and excel skills.
