Key Responsibilities

⦁ Prepare intricate journal entries and comprehensive financial statements (including balance sheets, income statements, and monthly closing reports) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory standards.

⦁ Conduct detailed analysis and review of financial data to verify the accuracy and completeness of accounts, such as general ledger accounts, income statements, and balance sheets, to create thorough account reconciliations and identify any unusual trends or discrepancies.

⦁ Develop, uphold, and facilitate the execution of accounting and control procedures.

⦁ Foster relationships with IT business partners, engaging with them monthly to accurately monitor and account for IT capital and operational expenditures.

⦁ Provide guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to junior accounting staff.

⦁ Investigate and address inquiries from both internal and external audit teams.

⦁ Assist in the preparation and evaluation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 3 - 5 years in industry accounting, public accounting, or internal auditing. Experience in a retail setting and familiarity with SAP is advantageous. Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, TM1, or Tableau is beneficial but not mandatory.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or CPA candidate status is preferred.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

In-depth understanding of SEC regulations, GAAP, and recent accounting standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with advanced Excel capabilities. Ability to manipulate data effectively to enhance project analysis and completion.
