Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong computer skills and experience in accounting and procurement to join our team as a project specialist. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with accounting software and a working knowledge of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounts receivable duties, including creating estimates, client invoicing, and updating project details in the operating system, utilizing accounting software.
  • Process customer payments accurately and reconcile accounts to ensure precision.
  • Provide weekly Accounts Receivable Aging reports to management, highlighting outstanding balances and aging trends.
  • Execute the materials procurement process for residential renovation projects across multiple states, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Estimators to determine material requirements and project timelines, adapting quickly to evolving requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and communications with suppliers, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Identify problems and shortfalls in the procurement process and propose effective solutions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Utilize strong critical thinking and analytical skills to optimize procurement processes and minimize costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable accounting and/or procurement coordination.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in relevant software programs.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks and NetSuite.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Working knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in residential renovation projects.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with frequent changes and adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
