Role : Appeals Project Specialist Estimated Duration : 6+ months Location: Phoenix, AZ (hybrid) Position Description Reviewing medical records and writing administrative reviews- looks at recommendations by doctors, learning Client rules and they'll be writing recommendations. Communicating with families so they will need to have verbal and written communication skills/customer service. This position prepares packets for specific appeals, claim disputes, and hearings, and directly responds to stakeholder requests for administrative review, appeal, or State Fair Hearing, and coordinates all due process activities with the Client, the Attorney General's Office, Client, and the courts. In addition, this position will work with the eligibility team on process improvements and the backlog project for applications for Eligibility. Skills Required Legal writing experience (1-2 years) Ability to review large amounts of documentation Adheres to strict timelines. Excellent writing skills with the ability to write technically, clear and concise. Skill in interpersonal relations. Skill in analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of a wide variety of programmatic information and data.
