Looking for a Design Engineer to work on both residential and commercial projects including mixed-use properties, sub-divisions, and site plans for multi-family and commercial properties.

Job Description:

+ Work on both Residential and Commercial projects that involve mixed use properties, sub-divisions, site plans for multi-family and commercial properties.

+ Prepare Engineering construction documents for residential and commercial, and industrial developments to include: site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, earthwork, soil erosion and sediment control, and civil/site permitting, alignments, designing surfaces, and pipe networks.

+ Perform design tasks, such as layouts, grading, and drainage, associated with civil engineering projects.

+ Prepare complex storm water calculations and reports.

+ Prepare flood studies and flood hazard area permitting.

+ Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various plans, reports and design documents

+ Ensure that assigned projects are completed within the guidelines established by local, state, and federal laws, regulations, standards, and/or policies

+ Maintain accurate records, notes and other required documentation for assigned projects

Qualifications:

+ At least 4 years of professional experience in land development or water resources

+ BS in Civil Engineering

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

+ EIT preferred but not required

+ Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations in New Jersey

+ AutoCAD Civil 3D skills with the ability to design site layouts concept through completion

+ Proficiency in grading and other site development related designs

+ Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis including knowledge of hydrologic or hydraulic software (HydraFlow, HydroCAD, StormCAD.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to interact with clients
