Camelback Resorts Tannersville, PA 18372, USA Description Job Title: Director of Risk and Safety Reports to: Vice President of Risk and Safety The Director of Risk and Safety will oversee and enhance the safety and risk management practices across our diverse and dynamic resort. This role will be responsible for the comprehensive risk management strategy, including the ski resort, two waterparks, and adventure park, ensuring the safety of our guests and employees while maintaining regulatory compliance and promoting a culture of safety. How I can create Guests for Life: Creates an environment of risk awareness and promotes risk reduction campus wide Develops and conducts on-site and in person training sessions Develops, coordinates and implements risk management plans, goals and objectives Direct oversight of incidents to insurance carriers Conducts all OSHA mandated training and responds to all OSHA investigative complaints Establishes and revises procedures, policies, and processes to include new or modified regulatory requirements Manages effective partnerships with all department leaders Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information Actively participate in Safety Committee. Conduct quarterly all-park safety and informational meeting. Subject matter expert on drafting and editing policies providing technical input relating to safety Submit expense and capital budget recommendations on or before due date Ability to give deposition and testify as needed Ensure employees are in compliance with company policies and processes for risk management Research and technical input current issues relating to resort, waterpark, and ski facilities Coordinates special projects related to guest and associate safety as directed by the Vice President of Risk and Safety Contact, liaison and negotiation with existing third party safety vendors. Engagement of new vendors is required Attend trainings as assigned by the Vice President of Risk and Safety Ensure employees are in compliance with company policies and processes for risk management Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities in keeping up with safety goals Other responsibilities as assigned Is this the job for me: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combinations of education and work experience 5 + years of Risk Management experience Understanding of insurance strategies Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and the ability to interpret the standards OSHA 501 and 511 training Familiarity with PA Health District rules and regulations Excellent presentation and public speaking skills Ability to direct collaborative efforts of direct reports and other resources that the organization, including internal and external resources and other constituent groups as appropriate Ability to manage change, resolve conflict and ensure collaboration with teams; includes maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity Strong organizational skills, the ability to work on multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issues in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
