Responsibilities:
- Work with enterprise business areas at the operational and corporate level to drive process improvements, compliance standards and strategies for consistent, repeatable, and detailed execution
- Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to help ensure the continuation of streamlined processes to create a sustainable, lean organization
- Analyze ambiguous problems utilizing demonstrated proficiency of lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, standard work, Six Sigma, 5S and other lean tools
- Manage and lead multiple Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering projects with minimal guidance
- Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State
- Leads Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and other Continuous Improvement activities ensuring projects are done according to budget and timelines
- Conduct time studies, develop and document work standards, and enhance line balancing to optimize workflow and drive throughput and productivity improvements
- Develop/implement metrics supporting lean manufacturing philosophy to track process improvements and cost reductions
- Develop standards for process confirmation using sustainable problem solving
- Support and drives training of others with focus on lean manufacturing techniques
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Other duties as required and assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field
- Master's degree in related Engineering field or MBA preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive, manufacturing process design and continuous improvement experience
- Experience in the automotive industry a plus
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions
- Must be efficient and effective in time, quality and cost management
- Proven experience working on a cross-functional team with strong ability to influence/motivate others to achieve results
- Must have demonstrated and effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers
- Prior experience working under tight deadlines with shifting priorities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Proficient in statistical analysis of processes and understands how and when to apply them based on the situation and specific needs
- Moderation and training skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with management direction
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, email and web-based navigation
