Come join our lively HR TEAM as a Training Specialist This position reports to our Manager of Learning and Development and is responsible for facilitating in person person and remote learning sessions here at our non-profit healthcare organization. Based in Juneau, Alaska, this position requires some travel around SE Alaska to our various locations for in person learning.

Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required

  • Bachelors degree in workplace learning, organizational performance, business, human resources, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.

Experience Required

  • 2+ years proven experience as a Training and Development Specialist or similar role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize adult learning theory to design and develop learning solutions that improve on-the-job performance.
  • Exceptionally detail oriented. Project management skills with ability to meet timelines. Able to adjust to priority and scope changes as needed. Able to effectively utilize project management tools such as MS SharePoint lists, MS Planner, Monday, Smartsheet.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Travel Required:

  • Must be able to travel 10% of the time.
