Summary

This position is responsible for the support of operational tasks required within the Chief Accounting Officer’s Division, with special emphasis on supporting the Accounts Payable team.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Accounts Payable research and problem resolution Coordinate IRS requirements for Accounts Payable reporting Prepare and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures Support Audit requests Provide accounting support for operational functions within Accounting Services Produce ad-hoc reports and information extracts as required for business analytics Participate in data loads to various systems Conduct all activities in a professional manner that reflects First Horizon’s culture and ethics

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Personal Characteristic

Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner both orally and written Proficient understanding of general ledger and accounts payable system functions Must be able to handle conflict and work with all resource levels within the company Thorough understanding of IRS requirements for Accounts Payable deliverables Must be able to learn in a high paced environment

JOB

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Management Information Systems preferred 9+ hours of systems type classes preferred (MIS, computer science, visual basic, etc.) Proficient in commonly used Microsoft Office applications 4-5 years experience in accounting systems, accounts payable, or similar field Ability to maintain positive attitude in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
