Vice President of Marketing THE OPPORTUNITY

The Griffin Groupe is seeking talented marketing and business development professionals to work with our client in the IOT and Industrial Wi-Fi industry. The overall purpose of this position is to lead the global sales and business development in the semiconductor industry with particular expertise for Wi-Fi SoC products which are 802.11abgn, 802.11ah, 802,11ac, 802.11ax, etc., but more focus on the commercialization in US and North America region for the world first 802.11ah (Wi-Fi HaLow) SOC chipset solution that is unique at present.

Candidates located in the Greater Orange County Area are preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Aggressively diversify the revenue stream by global sales, especially US and China region to meet the target revenue

Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors

Adjusts content of sales presentations by wireless connectivity marketplace information including Wi-Fi market trend and forecast

Focuses sales efforts by research on existing and potential volume of dealers

Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature

Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses

Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments

Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational conferences/workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or other related degree; Master’s degree preferred

5-10years business experience with increasing track record of management responsibility

Overall business acumen, strategic thinking, sound judgement, experience in strategic planning and implementation, marketing, international business; financial skills including budget development, forecasting, analysis; project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Results driven individual with proven accomplishments

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to cultivate and motivate a marketing and sales-force that is heavily, volunteer dependent

Strong analytical ability to formulate short- and long-term plans and objective resulting in the achievement of target revenue goal on time

Demonstrable skills in the area of scalable product management process improvement initiatives

Proven success in leading the global sales in wireless connectivity solutions such as Wi-Fi, BT, Cellular, etc.

Sound financial analysis and modeling skills; Must be able to build financial statements if required

Excellent presentation skills to audiences of all sizes and backgrounds

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and motivate a marketing and/or sales team

Must be able to set the direction and provide coaching to staff

Ability to influence and manage priorities

Must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges
