POSITION : Accountant

LOCATION : SeaTac, WA (hybrid after training)

COMP: $70-75k plus quarterly bonus

Responsibilities :

Under general supervision, the position is responsible performing analysis and reporting of financial activities related to assigned company. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Provides accounting services to small entities as assigned and performs specialized analyses and reports as required.

Performs the financial close process, including ensuring all cost incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation. Applies principles of accounting to analyses financial information and prepare financial reports. Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Provides accounting services to entities as assigned. May provide support to Accounting Manager in financial management for multiple or larger entities. Prepares reports or schedules as needed. Analyses financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position. Performs specialized analyses and prepares data summaries and/or projects at the request of company or operations management. Monitors and ensures that all transactions are processed according to the company’s cash management policies and procedures. Reconciles restaurant sales to confirm bank deposit amounts are accurate and all funds are accounted for including cash and credit card accounts and vouchers. Ensures that billing is completed, and payments are posted timely. Reconciles bank statements to identify any outstanding deposits or errors. Perform other duties as assigned. Adheres to applicable regulatory requirements, organizational policies and procedures, and departmental guidelines. Supports the preparation of property tax returns and other yearly reporting to outside agencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in the field or, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of accounting principles and strong analytical and accounting skills. Intermediate operational and technical accounting background knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting. Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook , MS Teams and FRX and Restaurant 365 ERP system or accounting software. Able to effectively and efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment. Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty. Attention to detail and service-oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, vendors and/or others as required. Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Advanced attention to detail and organized. Intermediate analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills. Solid interpersonal, team building and; ability to collaborate and work effectively with others.
