We are seeking a Marketing Intern for our Mental Health marketing team. The GeneSight marketing co-op/intern will help execute our clinician and patient marketing strategies to grow GeneSight brand awareness, ordering, loyalty, and brand advocacy. This position will have the opportunity to complete tangible project deliverables over the course of the semester and interact with a broad set of business unit stakeholders which may include teams such as Inside and Outside Sales, Medical Affairs, Customer Service, Commercial Operations (Salesforce & Marketing Cloud) and Sales Training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support promotional activities including but not limited to designing and copywriting for collateral, ads, emails, and internal communications
  • Assist with management of marketing claims database and content approval through medical, legal, and compliance review
  • Work in partnership with the sales team to develop materials that support the needs of the outside and inside sales channels
  • Provide input to and help execute marketing plans as needed
  • Assist with daily administrative duties that are designed to provide exposure to the following learning objectives:
    • Understand the fundamentals of marketing in the healthcare industry
    • Gain experience in campaign design including creative, messaging, and execution
    • Learn about key marketing KPIs and how to use them to optimize campaigns
    • Gain first-hand experience in common content and project management applications, including Smartsheet, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and others
  • Manage timelines and proper execution of ideas within fast-paced, dynamic environment
QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, preferably in Marketing
  • Relevant experience or coursework in the following: marketing strategy, product management, brand management, project management, sales, digital marketing
  • Ability to manage projects of varying complexity with strong execution and organization
  • Ability to learn concepts and tasks quickly and accurately, not hesitating to ask for assistance when needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to converse effectively and regularly with various levels of management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Junior or above status
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
  • Previous internship or co-op experience with marketing team or agency
SCHEDULE:
  • 40 hours per week during the scheduled semester
  • In-person; although there may be some flexibility depending on projects

About the Team

Myriad Neuroscience, a business unit of Myriad Genetics, specializes in pharmacogenomic testing. The GeneSight® Psychotropic test, developed in the Myriad Neuroscience clinical laboratory, analyzes clinically important genetic variations that may impact how a patient metabolizes and responds to certain psychiatric medications. The results of the test provides clinicians with information about which medications may require dose adjustments, may be less likely to work, or may have an increased risk of side effects based on patient's genetic makeup.
