A Patient Service Representative needs to have strong organizational skills along with the ability to think on their feet when faced with new situations that arise throughout each day within a professional medical environment.Roles and Responsibilities:Patient intake, such as greet and check-in patients/verify/update patient demographicsAssist patients with filling out consent formsReceive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services renderedInitiate calls, pages and triage phone calls.Assists in admissions, discharges, transfers and fulfills other customer service or clerical dutiesRequired Skills and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentProfessional manner and appearanceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMeticulous attention to detailAbility to work independentlyGood time management and prioritization skillsPreferred Skills and Experience:College-level training/education in a healthcare support field preferredPrevious EMR use/training helpfulProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) Knowledge of medical terms and practices preferredPhysical Requirements:80% standing 20% sittingLocation and Travel Requirements:OnsitePay Range Disclosure:$19.50 to $23.00 per hourCayuga Health System and its affiliates are committed to treating all patients, providers, staff and volunteers equitably and with dignity, ensuring the highest levels of safety, care and respect, and striving to recognize and overcome biases and policies that contribute to disparities in healthcare access, equitable care and positive health outcomes for all.We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, supporting the growth and health of our employees and community by embracing the rich diversity, needs and circumstances of all peoples and prioritizing opportunities to build a diverse and inclusive workplace.
