Provide problem support and coaching / on-the-job training to employees to ensure the day-to-day business unit department goals are being met. Communicate with a variety of support resources to resolve problems.Key Role ResponsibilitiesProvide backup to the Production Supervisor for all assigned areas.Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving, decision making, as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.Ensure all employees are following safety, quality, and production procedures while maintaining key efficiency metricsExecute and coordinate employee training and personal developmentProvide coaching to team members to help improve performance and grow skillsetsKnowledge of Lean principles in order to lead and participate in MDI, 5S, and Kaizen activitiesDrive out waste throughout department through the deployment of the Lean methodologySupport the production process by running and or setting up equipment when necessaryOperate a variety of equipment applicable within assigned area (i.e., CRTs, forklifts, etc.).Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of material and information into, within and out of assigned work area as needed.Collaborate with leadership and department stakeholders to ensure all teams are aligned on production status and any issues are resolved in a timely fashionResponsible for ensuring that all employees are performing their duties in a safe manner, and ensuring that appropriate medical attention is provided in the event of an injuryReport any safety hazards or incidents in a timely manner. Provide detailed report for incidents.
