Selected on-site presence, hybrid schedule to meet with various stakeholders to evaluate the progress and effectiveness of the practice business intelligence program. Proactively identifies needs and facilitates 1:1 or group meetings with hospital personnel to problem-solve and prevent avoidable challenges. The on-site work expectation, for the Lead Data Analyst of Practice Business Intelligence, may change and falls under the decision authority of the Executive Director of Operations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for practice business intelligence aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance and drive decision-making.

  • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and business intelligence specialists to ensure high-quality work and professional development.

  • Lead the development of interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key insights and KPIs to stakeholders.

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence tools, technologies, and methodologies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: List the number of FTEs supervised.

The Lead Data Analyst will manage a team. Direct reports may include an analyst, and practice administrative personnel. The Lead Data Analyst assists the Senior Manager of Practice Business Intelligence in the oversight of a comprehensive scope of work and coordinates efforts with numerous groups and individual stakeholders.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY:

The Lead Data Analyst is accountable for a scope of work that has a germane impact on shaping and improving hospital-wide business operations across service lines and levels of care ($ 130M - 140M net revenue from operations) at McLean Hospital.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 6 - 8 years): A degree in a relevant field such as business administration, statistics, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.

  1. Master's Degree (Preferred): A master's degree in a relevant field such as Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (MS), or a related discipline.
  1. The candidate will have at least 6 - 8 years of relevant business administration or business analytics experience.


SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: (MUST be realistic, measurable, objective, and related to the essential functions of the job.)
  • Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial, administrative coordinator, or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Microsoft Office platforms is required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business value through data-driven insights.
