Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Development and Mentorship:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of IT staff.

  • Technology Infrastructure and Vendor Management:

  • Student Experience Technology Integration:

    • Develop technology-integrated lessons with teachers and provide coaching, peer observation, and modeling of modern instructional strategies and technologies.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Foster a culture of innovation by exploring and implementing new technologies that enhance educational and operational effectiveness.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the school remains at the forefront of technological advancements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in technology, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage technology teams, with a focus on cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity measures and best practices to protect data and IT systems.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects.
  • Experience managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including large networks, servers and SaaS applications.
  • Deep commitment to customer service excellence and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Student Experience Technology Skills:
  • Experience with educational technology platforms and tools, including learning management systems, student information systems, and collaboration suites.
  • Ability to promote and integrate technology into the curriculum to support teaching and learning.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in educational technology and instructional design.
  • Proven experience in facilitating professional development and training for faculty and staff.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have previous education-based experience.
  • Ideal candidate has prior boarding school or higher education experience.
