Our Clinical Specialist is responsible for patient assessment and developing the product recommendation package for the clinician and the patient. In addition, the Clinical Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the hospital/medical facility has appropriate patient and product support. Work directly with the patient to assist with programming.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients who are candidates for company products and determine the best clinical therapy plan for the patient and the clinician.
- Develop a product recommendation package for the patient and clinician; provide sufficient support documentation to the patient leading up to, during, and after procedure.
- Administer therapy programming sessions for patients using company products in local clinics, doctor offices, and hospitals
- Teach/Instruct patients, health personnel, family members, and others relative to pain management how to use company products appropriately.
- Promote principles and policies governing pain management aspects of patient care in local clinics, doctor offices, and hospitals
- Maintain current and up-to-date records of patient therapy sessions
- Communicate issues with company in a timely manner.
- Prepare territory plan and key account activity and update quarterly.
- Marketing efforts include in person efforts as well as online/ social marketing.
- Market to referring physicians (primary care, neurology, rheumatology, oncology, ER, orthopedics, neurosurgery, etc.), patient advocacy/support groups, and also workmans comp adjusters, company HR departments, public agency HR (city, police, firemen, postal, etc.), and injury attorneys.
- Required to submit a complaint within 2 days of notification.
Education Requirements & Previous Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree Required.
· 2+ years of Clinical Experience preferred (Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Other)
· Ability to effectively communicate and educate patients, patient’s families, nurses, and other medical personnel how to use company products
· Ability to travel regionally up to 50%, as needed
