How you will contribute:

This is a great opportunity to leverage your design talent and leadership skills as you lead, mentor & direct the design team on various fire protection system projects. As the Design Manager you will exercise your attention to detail while designing automatic sprinkler systems using AutoSPRINK and HydraCAD software. You will ensure quality of submittal drawings, calculations, monitor workload of other designers and maintain technical certifications to obtain necessary permits and certificates. In conjunction with a Sales Project Manager you will plan, organize and execute projects through activities such as; on-site field surveys, generating hydraulic calculations, submitting drawings to obtain the required building permits, 3D BIM coordination using NavisWorks, preparing stock lists, ensuring the projects adhere to the proposed timeline, and preparing project close-out, operation and maintenance documents.

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will help make the most of your Associate's degree in a design/drafting related program. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in a design role with increased responsibility within the fire protection industry. Being proficient in AutoSPRINK, mathematically and technically inclined to learn industry-specific software and codes will be essential. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to lead others, work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.
