Fire Alarm Systems Technician

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems Technician to join our team at Associated Fire Protection - Omaha, NE. This role offers the opportunity to take a leading role in ensuring the safety of buildings and their occupants by installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing critical fire alarm and special hazard systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, inspect, and repair fire alarm and special hazard systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately install systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain fire extinguishers to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in fire alarm, security, low voltage, and/or systems maintenance is a plus.
- NICET I Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Test & Inspect, or Special Hazards is preferred.
- Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
Desired Skills:
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively.
Work Environment:
- This position requires working in various locations, including warehouses, offices, and construction sites.
- The work environment may involve exposure to temperature extremes, noise, moving machinery, dust, chemicals, and potential electrical hazards.
Compensation:
24-28 Hourly Wage
