Job Summary
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for expanding the company's initiatives in their assigned region to retain, develop and grow membership while maintaining current and new partner relationships.
Essential Job Functions

- Develop thorough knowledge of the Sanitas model, products and value proposition and stay up to date with any changes and new promotions we might offer.
- Serve as client, prospect and partner point of contact for all sales meetings and center tour requests and as partner's main point of contact for Sanitas marketing and growth strategies.
- Identify outside distribution channels, build and maintain relationships, and share product value propositions to facilitate successful implementation of the different initiatives in the region.
- Build relationships with new brokerage firms and expand relationship with existing brokerage firms serving individual and employer clients, leveraging payer partner with payer employer group clients to facilitate successful implementation of the different initiatives in the region.
- Connects regularly with excellent communication and follow-through, understanding all stakeholder needs and strategizing to best outcomes. Serve stakeholders and and be an excellent representation and knowledge source of Sanitas.
- Collaborate with partner resources to co-develop and execute business development business plans, KPIs and strategy across all segments and initiatives in the market(s). Meets regularly with partner Market Lead teams, understands their market position and strategy and how Sanitas can best support.
- Participate or organize Sanitas representation in assigned market(s) target customer events, entertainment activities, sales meetings, training programs, and conferences, professionally representing the Sanitas value proposition, model and brand. Ensure appropriate Sanitas representation and marketing materials at each event.
- Manage Membership Ambassador growth goals, activity and engagement efforts, schedule weekly touch points and provide any relative company and partner updates. Ensure Membership Ambassadors are performing activities that align with company goals with effective and accurate measuring and management.
- Continually strategize as an active participant in stakeholder discussions on how to move initiatives forward utilizing the resources available and contributing creative strategies for growth and engagement. Position Sanitas as a powerful strategic leverage and support for all stakeholders.
- Collaborate and strategize with internal teams and departments for marketing collateral and strategy, reviewing efforts with Director of Sales Support and Chief Growth Officer prior to execution.
- Communicate broadly on status of the different opportunities, managing expectations appropriately. Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain coordinated. This can include OEP, events, agency, health plan partner or employer-related opportunities.
- Oversee assigned market(s) Open Enrollment Period strategy to include participating in payer segment strategy planning and education, coordinating event strategy and planning with payer, agents, Sanitas Marketing Coordinator and other Sanitas team members and partners, maintaining agent relationships and organizing the Sanitas team to meet Open Enrollment Period expectations around activity and growth.
- Ensure timely and appropriate follow-up after receiving leads with complete profile of client information, including calls-to-action, sources, and dates in CRM. Capture defined details around all events, meetings, tours and presentations in CRM.
- Ensure the Call Center and other internal personnel have a great knowledge of the centers, services and products offered.
- Provide training, best practices and the most current marketing collateral to internal and external stakeholders as needed
- Monitor competitive activity and market conditions, providing feedback and suggestions to management.
- Keep informed of the rules and procedures established for the processes related to their functions and those of their area and apply them as provided.
- Be aware of the standards, procedures and policies of the company.

- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of experience in sales in the healthcare field.

- Deep understanding of the Medicare market, including trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.

- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Experience with CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce.com).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word) and G-Suite.
- Previous experience with (or selling into) healthcare payers and brokerage firms preferred.
- 3-5 years healthcare B2B business development or sales experience preferred, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
