WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

As the HR Business Partner/Director of HR, you will work with the CHRO to implement a talent strategy that aligns with LEADs mission and values and has a direct impact on organization effectiveness and the fulfillment of the employee value proposition. This involves building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the organization, providing leaders with coaching and support, and helping ensure organization capacity and capability for the future. You will be responsible for employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, onboarding, and workplace policies and practices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
A well-rounded background as an HR Generalist provides the skills, abilities, experience, and perspective needed to enhance and evolve our current HR and talent programs and practices to meet the needs of LEAD Public Schools as we continue to grow. This includes responsibility for day-to-day activities and practices as well as demonstrated leadership and oversight.

Serving as a Trusted Advisor to leaders on talent management practices will enhance organization effectiveness, encourage employee engagement and retention, and build individual and team capacity and capability. This requires the ability to navigate employee issues and concerns, maintain perspective on priorities, coach to desired outcomes, and support change management. With a strong desire to bring out the best in others, you will build effective relationships and encourage teamwork and collaboration.

Your support of Workforce Planning activities, in coordination with the CHRO and Talent Acquisition Manager, will positively impact our ability to hire, engage, and retain top talent and build organization capability and capacity for the future. This includes developing a deep understanding of both LEADs talent strategy and workforce and the external labor market. Your experience with talent calibration, workforce metrics, and employee development plans will support the organization growth plans and ensure we hire the right talent at the right time in the right roles.

By developing, monitoring, and evolving our HR Policies, Processes, and Practices you will positively impact our ability to effectively support the organization. This includes ensuring the HRIS system is utilized in a way that supports the organization, HR processes and workflows are optimized and effective, and HR policies and practices meet the needs of a growing staff of 400 employees to help them thrive. Your experience with vendor relationships, HR systems, and best practices will be beneficial in leading these efforts.

Your expertise in compensation and benefits administration, vendor management, and compliance will impact the employee experience and our ability to attract and retain talent, as well as support a pay for performance culture.

QUALIFICATIONS
Our ideal seminar teacher is passionate about developing and working with students who need the most support, is flexible, is coachable, and wants to grow as a teacher.

Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an HR generalist and business partner with an emphasis on performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and HR systems; ADP experience a plus
Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, engage, and influence others
Self-motivated with ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities and organization needs; proven critical thinking skills and demonstrated good judgment.
Proven ability to build strong trusting relationships, collaborate across disciplines, resolve conflict, and gain commitment to shared outcomes.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to adapt to diverse audiences and needs
Strong alignment with LEADs mission of preparing students for college and life
Knowledge of, and experience with, current employment laws and regulations; SHRM certification preferred

Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree in Business or HR Management, or equivalent work experience
SHRM certification preferred
