Position Specific Description Our Engineering & Construction team is looking for a Principal Engineer – Energy Storage to join their team in Juno Beach, FL. Employees in this role will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing various energy storage projects. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, engineering oversight and consulting across cross functional teams to deliver a best-in-class product. The selected candidate for this role: Evaluates design aspects of major components for large scale energy storage projects Prepares technical scopes of work for incorporation into contract documents Supports projects from conception through execution working closely with preconstruction and construction project managers Influences project teams in the engineering aspects of the technical work Maintains familiarity with the progress and problems in assigned technical areas Collaborates with suppliers to successfully integrate major equipment Collaborates with multi-disciplined teams for problem solving, improvement opportunities, and system integration and controls Performs other job-related duties as assigned Job Overview Job Duties & Responsibilities Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive engineering programs and activities Manages one or more programs of complex diversity and scope which are of critical importance to overall company objectives Acts as a subject matter expert Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications Experience: 7+ years Preferred Qualifications None NextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
